The Joker is a small recreational 20-meters-long sailboat that sank in the area of ​​Es Freus in 1992 after crashing into a well-known pinnacle in the area. It rests on a sandy bottom in the middle of nowhere at 47 meters deep, and the fact that it still preserves part of the ship sails that gently wave with the currents gives it a really phantasmagorical look.

The dive begins with a controlled descent in the blue following our mooring line as the only reference, which requires certain skills and control. Slowly, around 25 meters deep, we begin to get a glimpse on the two masts that erect from the bottom. An endless cloud of blotched picarels and anthias cover the Joker almost completely, and camouflaged among them sometimes we find San Pedro or Zeus fish. It is easy to find large scorpionfish and groupers resting on the deck, and hidden in the recesses usually live conger eels and perhaps some lobsters. After having explored the area, always delimited by the air consumption and the computer instructions for non-decompression dives, the ascent back to surface begins.
