Dive Site Vedranell Canyons – Es Vedra

Maximum depth: 28 meters.
Minimum depth: 5 meters.
Located to the South of the magical island of Es Vedrá, the islet of Es Vedranell has a beautiful attraction for diving, The Canyons. This is a rocky structure located at the North end of Es Vedranell, right in the channel between this islet and Es Vedrá, formed by three canyons where it is possible to dive through in and out as you zig-zag them and enjoy their beautiful walls full of small life that are a delight for lovers of macro. The spectacular landscape is due to the narrowness and height of the canyons that go from 28 meters deep to almost the surface.
The usual currents help life to regenerate easily, so it is not difficult to find a wide variety of species. Of course, the real star of the dive is the brown moray (Gymnothorax Unicolor), a different species than the one local divers are used to (Muraena Haelena) as it is way less common in the Balearic Islands.
